MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • ·       Candidate must have a current Public Trust or other federal government security clearance
  •         Must currently live in the Washington, DC Metro area
  •         BA/BS in Education, Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • ·       A minimum of three to five years of documented experience with instructional design, curriculum development, developing instructor-led and e-learning training, and using learning         technologies
  • ·       In lieu  of a college Degree, an additional four (4) years of relevant experience can be substituted
  •         The successful candidate will be asked to provide a work sample demonstrating hands-on knowledge experience and skill, using course authoring tools and ID theory.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • ·       Consults with managers to identify and assess the learning needs, environment, and challenges
  • ·       Recommends appropriate and technically sound learning solutions and modalities based on an analysis of learning needs, project constraints, budget limits, and schedule requirements
  • ·       Develops and produces design plan documents to ensure timely project completion
  • ·       Works closely with Subject Matter Experts to clarify concepts and ensure accuracy of the content
  • ·       Collaborates and communicates well with experienced professionals to ensure effective instructional design, accurate, concise, and clear course content, and excellent visual design
  • ·       Manages and supports project-related activities
  • ·       Develops training solutions for adult learners in multiple modalities, including synchronous and asynchronous remote learning, classroom learning, interactive e-learning modules, and         simulations
  • ·       Develops training content, materials, and messaging including instructor guides, student guides, supplemental training materials such as quick reference guides, eLearning materials,         we- based training, course descriptions, learning objectives, scripts narration, text, and other training content, as needed
  • ·       Reviews and revises training content based on feedback. Proofreads materials to ensure accuracy and highest quality
  • ·       Facilitates the execution of technical training and learning programs in a traditional classroom setting or online via virtual classrooms, and trains others on how to deliver learning material
  • ·       Evaluates instructional programs and materials; recommend improvements as needed
  • ·       Uses various instructional/learning management systems, content design tools, online delivery, and content sharing platforms
  • ·       Conducts research for relevant learning program content and the latest trends in education and how technology enables learning.
  • ·       Assists with the preparation of business proposals and contract reporting activities as needed
  • ·       Develops learning design documents, storyboards, and e-learning prototypes
  • ·       Ensures compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act


SPECIFIC SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • ·       Proficient understanding of Organizational Training
  • ·       Proficient knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • ·       Experience with Agile processes and demonstrated strong project management skills
  • ·       Hands-on experience in designing courses using the ADDIE process in applying Adult Learning theory
  • ·       Experience in using a variety of technologies, techniques, and tools to support the creation of learning solutions (i.e., Confluence; Articulate Storyline; Microsoft Office; Audacity;         Dreamweaver; Camtasia; Studio 8; Adobe Captivate; Blackboard; Photoshop/Illustrator)
  • ·       Able to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced on-time deliverable environment
  • ·       Welcome changing requirements, even late in development
  • ·       Must have 'Can Do - Professional Attitude' and be a TEAM player
  • ·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ·       Exceptional attention to detail to produce high-quality results
